Bug: Block Physical on moving target
This skill was a great idea initially but having no control over how the kick functions eventually made me stop using it. Misses moving targets all the time and generally becomes a self-stun.
It’s only really good against ranged targets.
Real funny to see an incoming rapid fire, true shot, unload spam, or the likes and just walk up to the person shooting saying “NO” the whole time.
But yea, otherwise the skill is horrible for melee use.

My thief buddy relies on always having a dodge up to prevent the knockdown portion. Basically he never uses it without a finishing dodge.
I cannot get past using it over Blinding Powder which I find to be one of the most under-utilized skills a thief has access to.

Yeah, I love it at range because it keeps blocking for the full duration, saving you from multiple hits. I actually would rather it was always like that and they just removed the kick if changing it to a flip skill is that much trouble. Till that’s addressed I just don’t use it. If I use it at a stun break VS a warrior hammer for example I’d just unstun and then stun myself with a kick that misses, gets blocked, resisted, etc.
I dunno, I find it very useful in most situations. It’s a great stun breaker, you can dodge to cancel before the kick happens but once it does I think it’s too late, not really tried change weapon neither. What I like about the kick though is that you face your oponent, even vs stealth users so you can follow up with a next attack, I normally follow up with dust strike. Only times I dislike it is when vs multiple people or foes, and kick a pet or minion down instead but oh well, I still find it a reliable stun break.

No, I actually love this against enemy thieves…
It requires some play against mesmers and such but overall, I’m happy with it (and I can’t say that about many Thief utilities).
