At best, this skill doesn’t miss and you can kinda catch someone, though less than just using heartseeker or any other gap closer. At worst, it’ll be “obstructed” by a blade of grass. As if it wasn’t underwhelming already, the tooltip needed to be wrong and for the worse.
Ever wonder why no one reported this? Nobody uses this skill seriously. The damage nerf more or less killed it completely, and now, it’s also useless for condition thieves due to the godawful duration. #1 testing anet.

Would it be overpowered if dancing dagger applied immob for 1 sec on first hit, then cripple on any bouncing hits? It would make it a lot more viable as a chasing skill, if you spammed it, you could at best immob one target for about 5 secs, the same as a warriors longbow 5 skill or throw bolas skill, but you would use all your initiative in the process, making it equivalent to a skill with a longer cool down.
I feel like it would make it a skill that would have some useful applications.

not to mention irrelevant and off topic. This topic is about a bug on a OH dagger skill and he is talking about pistols…
Back on topic, I do use a dagger offhand but since i have ways to keep my enemy crippled most of the time i didn’t notice this… Ill check it out when i get home from work.
There are many conditions that don’t follow their tooltips durations around the game.
Top of my head White Wolf Chilling Howl, which makes it subpar against other canines as the duration of the chill is lower than stated.
Necromancer scepter chaing states that the 2 first strikes apply 4 seconds of bleed, but the first one applies 5 instead (positive bug).
Inmob is supposed to be a stacking on duration condition but it doesn’t.
I think someone should get to the list of things that aren’t working as intended and dedicate a week or two to solve them.
I gave up on x/d shortly after 4s revealed. I’m going to guess no one uses 4 button because 2 button is way better.
Dancing dagger is a joke now. It needs increased range and speed. Maybe chilled instead of cripple to be useful. Otherwise heartseeker will always be a better option.

DD used to apply cripple x2 when struck the same target two times (10 seconds), not to mention dealing 50% more damage. It needs some buffs to single target, because right now, this skill has no use. It’s only medicore when it comes to combo fields spam.
