Guild Wars 2

I’m having a hard time deciding what stats I should be going for in my WvW gear. I have a PVE build designed for conditions but I swap out 3 traits easily for some added spike when doing WvW.

What I’d like are some opinions experiences on gear/stats to go for as a Thief in WvW. My playstyle in WvW will hopefully be based around spike and less so on conditions.

If you want spike then it’s either Backstabs (dagger main) or Pistol Whip (S/P). Both 30/30 in power/crit lines. Get the % dmg up as much as you can. Honestly it sucks in WvW imo because you have no staying power. It’s fun for a day or two for sure though.

I’m partial to 10/0/30/30/0. Using Rampager gear. Gives all 3 dmg stats and you get vit/tough from the traits. I use D/P, outlast anyone and am impossible to catch (d/d on swap with heartseeker. With faster init gain in stealth you can stealth + bail with heartseeker like crazy). That’s my idea of fun at least.

May have to try it out. Would like some more opinions. Bump

Go for Berserk and Valkry gear basically a mix of 50/50 and…I run d/d backstab hs build witrh 30 in crit and 30 in acrobatics for survivability very fun and strong setup you can remainder of points in power or trick…up to you current hp 16k 43% crit 96% crit damage 2100 power

Thanks for the input, I was thinking along those lines for gear stats. I’ll have to do some more Theorycrafting on your build compared to the one I’m using.

Depends on what you want to do bud. I personally run a pistol/dagger bleed/survival build and love it. However my friend runs a DPS burst build and also loves it, we are both very effective in different situations.

My build can take on multiples survive and kill (slowly but I kill em) he can jump in smack the hell out of someone and get out of dodge. I personally like my build better but I also love it when we run together and once I get someone down to 50% he gets them dead in seconds.
