I’ve been working on the math for this build since the release of the information on the new healing skill, which goes in the empty healing slot on the skills page.
The reason I’ve chosen P/P over P/D is the fact that you’re sacrificing most of the Shadow Arts tree which offhand dagger would benefit from for venoms, and Unload gives a reliable source of venom burst while mitigating how much your enemy is able to block/evade/blind you, resulting in a nullified effect from the venom. To compensate for the new heal’s underwhelming healing potential, Life Steal is maximized throughout the build and guaranteed every other hit in order to keep the thief sustained while the heal is on cooldown. This is NOT a frontline build, and is the thief equivalent of a rifle warrior, albeit ~6k unloads rather than uber kill shots and it can actually help allies rather than just yourself via venom share. I’d suggest using sword/x or shortbow offhand to give the build some escape potential if you begin getting focused down.

My guess around the new heal is that the tool tips aren’t fully implemented and it does in fact take advantage of life steal on proc + venom share.

Something to note: The life steal capabilities alone can on average heal you for 329 per second, as much as the warrior’s healing signet.

I had been messing with P/P venomshare for a little while and it worked decently for getting them out fast. You can combine body shot with unload to help ensure the venoms land, as for the healing venom if the one second cast time is correct, that won’t really help quite as much

Though I think the idea is interesting I do not belive this build will work, basically you will get 2 shot everytime someone attacks you since you have very low hp and next to no defences.

The lack of condition removal is the next problem.

I think you will not survive long enough to actually kill someone.

(edit) even if you can get health regeneration rates as high or higher than warriors it will not help high regeneration also needs high health so you have enough time to let the regeneration do it`s work.
