Build for Thief duo leveling
You could potentially have one thief set up to blind and the other to deal a little more damage. That would be my first suggestion without much though on the subject.
I am sure there are builds that would build a ton of synergy though, boosting each others weaknesses.
you generally shouldn’t both go conditions. one thief can, once it has access to the right abilities, max out bleed stacks on a single target in PvE. two condition thieves hurt the effectiveness of each other against the same target. that said, the two builds generally considered the best for leveling is D/D condition damage and S/P power/crit. both have very good AoE and survivability. the S/P thief can blind/evasion tank most things, and the bleed thief can kite everything else. I would suggest the S/P bring a shortbow as a secondary, and the D/D bring a pistol main hand for your second weapon sets. that way whoever gets the mobs attention can kite it. it makes champions a breeze.
in the end you should do what you enjoy most on the thief though. two condition thieves can work great together, if they focus on different primary targets. even better if one goes venom share. D/D burst works very well if you have someone more survivable to watch your back. have fun with it, and let me know if you need any more advice.

Thanks for the responses guys. So far we are both level 10 and having a lot of fun. Obviously havn’t really delved to deep into builds yet, both just going for +power items and learning our skills.
So the consensus seems to be that one thief should go for a S/P or D/P type build and stack mainly power/crit/tough/vit and attempt to evasion/blind tank while the other goes D/D and heavy into condition dmg? That is definitly something we will try (I have already been mainly running D/P). One question though, wouldn’t the DPS heavy D/D pull aggro and defeat the purpose of the evasion tank thief?
We also do both run a SB offhand for both travel and kiting and its nice to both sit back and lob cluster bombs and trick shots on big groups.
Anyways, we will continue to play with it but for now D/D condition and S/P or D/P evasion thief is what we’ll try. Many thanks!
personally my fav lvling was sword/pistol and focus on crit toss in cheap blood sigils in the sword and a bloodlust sigil in pistol. SB off hand for travel an you can tank anything and drop it quick with the swords number 3 ability. I would do both thiefs like that so no matter who has agro your still leaching life. Kinda like a Leach tank i guess ya could call it? i dunno then when you get your elite mixed with thiefs guild its crazy my thief can take out 6 mobs same lvl as me no sweat at all no need for stealthing or anything. and of course the heal number 6 ability that leachs as well.
oh and for more added life leaching you can pick up strawbery cake i think it is out of TP for 1copper each and it leaches as well.

I would go with 2 thieves both being condition build d/d for leveling. You will not have too much trouble with the 25 stack limit on bleeding, since I rarely went higher than 12 on my thief solo, as mobs were dying so fast. With 2 of you, you would kill normal mobs with 2 death blossoms each and then move to the next stack of 4 mobs.
Put 10 points to the last trait line for Caltrops on dodge, as this gives you more damage and a free snare that will make kiting easy.
