Can't play anymore as thief in WvW
Lol, the solution is to switch of character and not play thief again.
The only thing I still like into the thief is he can select his target.
But now, the mezmer can do it too. Overmore the mezmer has some nice invulnerabilities and the thief has nothing.
I do not see nice build to play with the new patch, thief is going to parking.
Not surprising x/d is having a harsh time if a p/d is telling you otherwise dire and food are carrying him but you think about it every set but d/p is having a harsh time.

I had to get more vitality into all my builds. The toughness does not do much considering all of those conditions. As such reconsider your rune choice as a start. As example Runes of Speed make a whole lot more sense or Runes of the Wurm. Runes of the Wurm really work quite well with a build focused on Ferocity. I find speed more survivable as they allow me to get out of danger more quickly.
Pack and strength allow me to hit harder but for survivals sake getting health near 20k helps. (this with those soon to go away applied fortitude stacks)
In my condition build I find good survival with little impact on damage done using leeching venoms, assassins reward and shamans armor. I had never used shamans before but the vitality and healing power really help. We lost heaking power from the SA line and that was a double whammy when piled on top of sources of more vitality. While thieves never built aroung healing power before , that which the +300 healing added was helpful.
In the power build one either has to go all out in a do or die hoping to down them quick with bursts , or be much more deliberate as to whom one fights .
I still play every night WvW and 90 percent time on my thieves. There are classes I find harder to fight but I am managing.
