I’m on the hunt for a nice display suit for my thief. I’ve got a few ideas in mind but mainly I plan to match everything else around my chest armor. Personally, I like to think of my thief as an assassin, and thus am quite disappointed at the amount of flappy long trench-coats that make up the selection of medium armor, so I’m here to ask you good folks:

Does anyone know of any medium chest armor pieces that are not long coats (i.e. formfitting or frock coats) for a female sylvari?

The Duelist Chestpiece goes well with nearly anythin, here’s my own armor combination with pieces of 5 different sets and it looks great (the only problem is that it has a small red texture line in the middle but I expect that to be corrected soon):

Ah yes, the duelist chest is the only one I’ve found so far that’s not a coat. Unfortunately on a female it’s rather.. shall we say befitting of a “lady of the night.”

It took me a good minute of scratching my head at your sickly looking human character before I realised that it was a Sylvari… and I play one, lol.

Hah, well it’s not my character, but still. lol

Granted, it’s still a coat. But it’s not a long coat, so that’s something. The one from Ascalonian Catacombs is also nice, but the metal rivet look may not work with what you’ve already got.

i like the whispers coat, looks nice on male or female.

I don’t kow if Sylvari have it too, but my thief ran around with padded or studded or something like that.

Nope, I meant the one my character was wearing in the photo I posted (only chest and gloves). The same the “example Thief” is wearing at character creation and the same the Thieves from Thieves Guild wear.

The PVE duelist (the one I’m using) set is called Leather in the PVP lobby locker. Many sets change name on that locker and gets a bit confusing.

I’ve done much work in the past couple days and I still haven’t managed to come up with anything.
Perhaps this is a better question. What are you other sylvari thieves wearing?

What are the cultural armors like for sylvari females? I only know the T3 is worn by Caithe.

Tier 1 looks like feathers more than leaves, and tier 2 actually doesn’t match with itsself. The shoulders and legs take colors differently than the rest of it and it’s really annoying :/

Asura medium armor is just so, so bad. Whoever designed these armor sets had the imagination of a ping pong ball.

Medium armor mostly, there are some really nice light and heavy sets out there.

It feels like I say this in every mmo I play, what gives?

It’s both the Trooper armor from a personal story reward or the noble armor shoulders from Caudecus Manor.
