Cloak & Dagger Bug or Not?
Learn to hit better. It gives a bit of skill to an easy bit of stealth.
Not bug.That’s the way it is.It should NOT by any chance stealth if it misses.This will turn the skill to vanish.However,given it’s sensitive nature(to say the least),it could take less initiative if it misses.

I admit that missing with C&D can be a little annoying. Not only did you not do any damage, but you also didn’t stealth, AND burned some initiative.
But really this is just a matter of practice. Get better at your class instead of asking for crutches. If nothing else, you should be glad that C&D doesn’t have a long cooldown that gets burned for nothing on a miss like other classes. If you have the initiative(which you SHOULD if you’re not spamming), just aim better and hit it a second time.
Practice my friend. Practice. It’s YOU that should get better, not the class.
What about the Pistol/Dagger setup, would it not be better to have the range of C&D extended if you equip a Pistol?
Range extended is again like Vanish that does damage as a bonus.Ranged C&D+Sneak Attack will be OP as hell.

Yeah this can be kind of painful as you’re taunted by whichever prof has managed to blind or dodge your cloak and dagger repeatedly so you’re doing nothing without sneak attacks fitting in there. Considering trying to work in hidden thief to help. It helps a lot into builds that can’t get close on demand… Any dagger or pistol main hand
I stated once that it would be awesome if D/P and P/D third skills switch places.
D/P already have HS as gap closer and it could use Shadow Strike as get-away-skill.
On the other hand P/D could sure as hell use Shadow shot for a gap closer to fast C&D.
It won’t be cheap thou cuz both will cost 10 initiative,but i can really see it working at the right moments.

Something has to give its a double tax on P/D as it stands.
P/D RANGED
1) C&D is melee
2) C&D can fire when foe is out of melee range
3) No stealth
4) Initiative used up
Melee Thief plays in melee range, of course you could always argue it is the intention of game designers that P/D plays in melee!
Some how I see P/D as a ranged set up…
No I think I know what he is talking about, Ive hit a target with C&D and not stealthed, and yes it did hit because I saw the damage hit. Its weird but sometimes it happens unless Im missing something.

When you stealth and then attack you can not stealth again for 3sec that’s why you see a ‘IMMUNE’ on your screen.
I was just wondering why a ranged build still needs to go melee and its not like its once in a while, unless you are pretty much keeping C&D on CD your damage will be poor.
