I’m wondering if any others have experienced this glitch. I’ll use the CnD ability go into stealth and then try to move and my character won’t move. I will try to use my forward or strafe keys and other times I’ll try to move using the mouse movement and I’ll just stand there until stealth wears off. I would put it down as lag except it only occurs when I use the CnD ability. Also it doesn’t happen every time but enough to be quite noticeable.

Maybe you smash too many buttons, and your keyboard is overflowed, not responding to movement action? I had a similar problem some time ago, but in another game.

I agree with Dagins. Get a good anti-ghosting keyboard.

Or just any other PS2 keyboard and not a USB one =)

Thanks for the answers, but since I have a Logitech G15 keyboard, and this only happens when I use the CnD ability, I don’t think it is from button mashing. I’m beginning to think that since I mostly use my mouse to turn and move (using the left right button combo) it might be related to the mouse. I’m also wondering if it has to do with collision and the hit boxes. I think I’ll disable the Melee attack assist in the options and see if that alleviates the problem.

Interesting Geeo, so it might be related to the Logitech keyboards. Have you experienced this with other abilities or just with CnD?

I get the same thing sometimes. I am using a Logitech G15 keyboard.

I get the same thing occasionally. It’s definitely not from smashing buttons, as it can occur when hitting just 1 at a time. I’ve got dodge bound to a mouse button so even that isn’t 2 at a time. From my experience it seems to be a bug with stealth. It’s even happened when releasing falling damage blinding powder once or twice.

This bug you have stops movement in all directions?

Following one of my normal habits of heading straight for an enemy with C&D queued and intending to slip around behind for the back-stab right after the strike lands, my thief stops as soon as he goes into stealth and I can’t get him to glide past and behind the enemy. In regular combat I can brush beside and all around the target as if we were ballroom dancing, but on those rare occasions I freeze I can still back off or even swing around behind as long as I give what feels like a wider-then-normal berth.

This does pose an issue in that the time it takes me to correct my movements in that fashion runs me the risk of falling back out of stealth before I can make the strike, but at present it feels more like a collision issue then anything else.

Unless you really can’t move in any direction at all, in which case it may be two entirely different things.

Yep , same here. Something is hindering movement after CnD.

I have the same issue, with a Logitech K340 =/

I made a similar post about C&D, but it got moved to the “Suggestions” forum -

1. When you miss it still uses initiative.
2. Sometimes when you use it, and it actually does hit, you don’t stealth.
3. When you use it you get stuck in place………….

I get the same thing, again with a Logitech G15

I’ve been running into this issue as well using the g15 keyboard.

A couple things I’ve definitely noticed

1) Cloak and Dagger was locking me in place (turned off melee attack assist and this is no longer happening)

2) Cloak and Dagger + Backstab combos in rapid succession tend to not allow you to re-enter stealth (curious if there is an internal cooldown on the stealth proc from CnD)

Never having touched dagger offhand, can’t say if this happens with CnD, but I’ve noticed a ‘stuckness’ sometimes after using Infil arrow (bow#5). Hold W, use it, get stuck. have to re-press W for it to fix. Happens ~5% of the time. Razer keyboard.

Now that I’ve done some playing around I just realized I’m no longer having this issue as well. This used to happen to me almost every time, I would stutter and either teleport a foot backwards or have to hit W again to continue moving.

Since I’ve disabled melee attack assist I’m no longer having this issue.
