Was testing CnD > Steal on a combat dummy and it appear that Steal will now cancel out CnD. Anyone else notice this?

might be another ninja nerf. its getting common as of lately. and the only class getting ninja nerfed.

The combo still works just fine.

Doesn’t work for me any more, steal will start auto attack and CnD never follow through. /Shrug just figure I’d toss it out there since I notice it

Combo worked just fine for me last night. Are you talking about testing today?

Yeah, confirmed. They removed it. It’s probably the biggest nerf they could have done.

CnD needs a cast time reduction if they’re going to do that, though. I feel like D/P might be better now, since you can at least reliably stealth.

I guess we’ll see what they do tomorrow.

In game right now and it works

I just came out of a string of hot joins where it worked as it always has every time.
Then I went and did it another 10 times on dummies.
It 100% works, just fine.

I just did it a few times on a practice dummy. The timing isn’t as forgiving but I was still able to land C&D after a Steal and wind up in stealth. I changed my traits to include Mug and did it a few extra times just to be sure. Still worked.

Where was it not working?

I tested it in Lion’s Arch, I’ll try it again somewhere else

EDIT: It still works. It must be Lion’s Arch that stops it from happening. Not sure why. The timing is seemingly the same, as well.

Yeah same here did my test @ Lion’s Arch. Guess it’s the area then.

its server/traffic problems.
for example you can start some torrents (or if server is under load) and your char will be running on walls (char will not always take vertical position on non-horizontal surfaces)
Also can cause:
mobs not resisting, multiple mob spawn in exactly same spot and position, deaths from 1m falls

Or remove the cast time of C&D.This will be both nerf and buff.

Now there’s an interesting idea. I still think people would just Steal to close the gap and then use CnD for the instant stealth.

Who knows, we will see.Maybe they will introduce a new debuff “hiden”, which will disable auto attack for 2 seconds after Stealth :P (joking).

I feel making CnD instant would just lead to more complaints. Making steal interrupt an action wouldn’t really nerf much besides bs chain imo.

Nah, ele’s RTL was ninja nerfed a while back, it can’t be used for air travel nearly as well any more.
