Condi Damage DD or PD?

As far as PvE, they both seem effective. D/D + SoM + caltrops has tons of healing and forces the mobs to stay in caltrops, however P/D has the ability to kite mobs wherever you want.
Now one of the builds I play often is your typical PD thief. The thing I have been wondering is how well DD plays in dungeons? I have used it in the past to farm mobs in open world but I haven’t touched it out side of that.
Do both. LEad with DD blossoms/trops etc to get the smack going then revert to P/D for kite/survivability. Geomancy runes for +3 stacks of bleeds when weapon swap and the synergy is nice.
