How would you guys feel about Anet adding a Condition signet in the next Meta Thief patch? I would like to hear opinions.

So, what would be the active effect of signet, 180 condition damage alone is not very impressive suggestion.
As for me, i don’t care about condition damage on thief at all, because beside venoms, we can only stack bleeds on a very long way, which in turn, could be easily removed.
So, if we think about condition signet, we should introduce its active effect, iroving the tactic of condition builds. Like stealth (but this is too straight mechanic for signet), or boons (regen, protection, vigor).
But anyways, i’m refusing to use condis on thief.
What does the signet do? Burn on crit? Yes please

The signet would increase condition Duration for 33%, and condition damage+100. And you would reconsider not getting into conditions after watching my Thiefsmer P/P build. I am fighting Coloxeus- Professional D/P Thief.

Nope, not gonna happen, i’m not using others builds, aswell as condi builds. and what does professional d/p thief means? Is he got paid for his playing?
Also, i think that WvW is not a place to compete with others because of some freaking runes and sigils and buffs from WvW. if you mind trying your condi build in PvP you can contact me, (unfortunately (fortunately) there aren’t perplexity runes in PvP so this cheesy build isn’t really viable there.
Also, i’ve seen your video, and, sorry to say, haven’t been impressed with its gameplay at all.
On subject, i was talking about active effect of signet, which is the most questioned part of it, because a passive is still passive, and someday, with the devs words aout adding new skills, every class would have that “+stat” signet.

Not going to argue. Thanks for your input
+120 condition dmg
30 secs cooldown
when use, burn nearby foe for 4secs (300 radius)
OR when use, Burn targeted foe for 4secs (600 range)
Random Ideas:
Snake Skin Signet
Passive: +180 condition damage
Active: Send up to 3 conditions from you to target foe.
Signet of Venom Blood
Passive: +10% condition duration
Active: Convert conditions to boons.
Signet of Hemorrhaging
Passive: +15% bleed duration
Active: Gain health for every bleed on target. Target is weakened for 5 seconds.
Signet of toxic shock.
Passive: 20% condition duration
Active: Applies poison for 10s. If foe is already poisoned applies Toxic for 1s.
Cool down: kitten
Cast time 1.5s.
Create a new condi called Toxic. Does 2.5x condition damage.
With 1200 condi power its a 3k spike. Throw in might and sigil of corruption and you can get a nice burst. In that respect condi builds will lean to whittling down enemies to burst with Toxic shock.
Brb brought Gw1 into gw2.

Hey, may be i was too offensive. Soz for that.
I should say, that confusion on interrupt makes sense on any class, but may be, if reduce it to 2-3 stacks, it would be reasonable enough, to build yourself around condi damage+perplexity runes, and introduce it spvp then, so almost any class would be able to build some interrupting build.
To be honest, if you’re sugesting this just because of the perplexity runes, I wouldn’t be too high. That runeset functionality will get tuned down and we’re talking about a playstyle that isn’t even available in all enviroments (PvP, which is the enviroment around most balance is done).
I play conditions a lot, but I don’t really feel the need for a signet to boost them. There are a lot of things I want boosted before that.

Why do not use Sup. Sigil of Fire? lol
And about the radius, you probably don’t know how much is 300 ingame. The largest AoE skill from SB has only 240 units.

It’s all good my man, yeah I am totally for tuning these runes down, because I would definitely love to have these runes available in Spvp. 2-3 stacks confusion would be a perfect and reasonable nerf.
signet – > critical strikes, tricks – > condition damage.
Personaly i don’t belive an condition signet is required, and i don’t belive cond thieves would benefit very much from an signet , (since they cannot invest much in signets mastery’s )

Aye. As it is right now, it’s mainly because we have no good crit procs. Warriors, Necromancers, Mesmers, Engineers and Rangers have access to bleeds on crit available in their crit trait lines. All but Ranger have those as minor traits. It makes the crit line far more appealing to condition builds. Engineers and Elementalists also have burning crits as adept traits in their power/cduration line.
That just leaves Guardian and Thief. Guardian get a might boon support crit proc, cuz they have to be different (in their tree that is not crit, crit damage or boon duration, cuz: guardian). Thieves… just crit to crit. We have no build-centric reason to do it other than direct damage. While it’s nice that we’re not ruining the 25 stack of doom on our power builds with weak bleeds we were forced to take by some minor trait, it also draws a hard line around the crit line (and thus the signet line), denying entry to all but direct damage builds.
Until that changes, I agree. Condition damage signets would be counter-intuitive to our current build structure.
So, what would be the active effect of signet, 180 condition damage alone is not very impressive suggestion.

I think this is sort of misinformed… bleeds can be stacked via several different skills. Between caltrops and death blossom and stealthed pistol 1, we can stack bleeds faster than most other classes (usually 15-20 within about 2-3 seconds). We can also apply torment, poison, cripple and blindness really easily with instant cast skills, which can “protect” our bleeds from being removed first. Applying just one condition is a bad strategy for any condi build for any class (played necro for several months before my thief). Venoms are sort of a waste of a utility slot as I see it.. the cooldown is too long, and there are just more effective skills. I used skale venom for a while, but it’s underwhelming without traiting for venoms.
And yes, bleeds can be removed, but again, we can stack them back up in just a second or two. Also, if you are attacking someone whose build is focused on condi removal, just choose a different target or GTFO. We have that luxury… not something you get with a condi necro with no escape skills.
As far as a condi signet goes, I think being able to apply a seperate condition would be ideal to further protect bleeds/poison/torment and keep them ticking. Burning is unlikely, but would be amazing.
