i was curious i would love an answer from anet on this.

But why did you only give Lead Attack a condition damage mod. And not Exposed weakness or Ferocious Strikes?

i mean i am not asking for more power creep i just honestly curious of why lead attack was only one picked.

Potent poison is in DA as is Needle trap and dagger mastery. All of these related to conditions and while Posion on steal can certainly help Power builds, it helps a Condition build more.

Yeah i do not know i just thinking about it other day i know patch was a long time ago just made me think about it assume it go with new hot mech. but if that was the case all old damage mod should be updated to same status.

Well I can understand why Ferocious Strikes doesn’t, it only affects Critical Damage and Condis can’t crit.

I don’t know why exposed weakness doesn’t.

Well no. I was pointing out there was condition damage traits on the DA line and one of the traits he mentioned comes off the DA line (exposed weakness)

It’s because DA tends to lean more toward power due to anet not even knowing what they want the line to be. I guess it was stated by them that it’s more for “finishing people off”. The only real condition damage trait in that line is potent poison.

It’s because DA tends to lean more toward power due to anet not even knowing what they want the line to be. I guess it was stated by them that it’s more for “finishing people off”. The only real condition damage trait in that line is potent poison.

I do not see how you can make that call. In the revamp they indicated they wanted to push more of the damage into the DA line this including conditions from what I recall.

Given we discuss exposed weakness we should leave that out of the conversation for the sake of comparison.

Outside Revealed training and mug none favor Power builds over Condition. Due to condition durations more likely found in a condition build and the fact poison was changed to stacking over just added duration the majority of what remains favors conditions outside of Mug and Revealed training.

As example I take panic strike in a condition build and get an immob of 4 and 3/4 seconds which is much better than most power builds will get. The weakness from loutus poison will last close to 8 seconds and so on. (I consider improv neutral)

My opinion? In the revamp they should have made exposed weakness add to both condition and direct damage. CS should remain purely power as it relates to crits. I do not think they wanted to "make DA a power based line " I thgink exposed weakness was an oversight. You can not have two entire lines out of play for a condition build.
