It’s Battle of Kylo mid match. I landed a steal on a guardian at home (lawl lone guard push far) to take mace. Me and a teammate murder said guardian. I head to mid to help out. I see there is a Warrior on point. I bassi up, backstab into mace hit. Whack into him for a bit, then steal heartseeker to bring him to 25% health with a 4 to 5 second stun on him. He trololols, runs around like a chicken with his head cut off, and procs defy pain passive via 30 defense trait. No probs right? Just maintain poison via auto and he’s gonna be ded in seconds. His friends show up, and kill both squishies on point (me and another guy). GG, Anet; gg.

In a 8v8 game expecting a 2v1 scenario…

Don’t get me wrong, warriors are OP and everything…
But what exactly are you trying to get at here? Why you QQ?

It wasn’t 8v8. It was a 5v5 against terrible players.

:| I’m not even sure what he wants… Sure doesn’t look like a nerf to thieves… yet he’s QQ’ing on a thieves forum….

The OP is making a point about the imbalanced and skilless passive traits in this game, “Defy Pain” being one of the biggest offenders.

I agree with you completely.

Most QQer asking for nerfs against thieves say we get too much utility in a skill or too much stealth or too much this or that. but in reality … if we dont play PERFECT we die. we cant afford mistakes. our ONLY safety net is shadow refuge and its not guaranteed. we still take dmg . we can be pushed out orkilled…. etc etc.

BUT classes like warrior/guardian/ele etc etc….they proc protection and aegis and defy pain and invul and 5 secs of blocks at a time….ON TOP OF all this defense that is passive like high hp high defense high toughness ….. 25% hp no bleeds 75% hp proc protection etc. etc .etc.

there is no way….(granted the 2 thieves were good) they should have lost that 2v1. even when it was 2v2 the 2 theives were 100% hp and a lil low on init but 1 of the heavies were at under 25%….. ONE of the heavies should have died even if the thieves lost. but with allthat passive defense and help anet gives them….they make up for bad play by anets gifts.

Thief situation on PvP is beyond a joke already.

Cool story. Use your mobility to get out and backcap instead of giving the enemy team 5 points and save the rest of us some forum clutter next time. Just use one z axis infiltrator arrow and all the other professions will be complaining about not killing us…
