Crit Damage on Thieves or in General
Don’t know, but I’d be very surprised if it did.
Perhaps the person meant that you can’t raise your crit damage over 80-100%, from a purely statistical standpoint. Like, the gear you get can’t raise your crit damage higher than that.

Well I have 106% crit damage atm, and with food it goes up to 116% crit damage. If theres a cap; I’d like to regear or retrait or something and stack more precision.
there is no hard cap on crit damage to my knowledge.

Ya I figured this as people said it was 80, and I ran a build where I was tankier and had 80% crit damage, then switch gear to 116% crit chance and there was a difference in numbers; leading me to believe that there is no cap at all for crit damage.
tbh it sort of sounds like people are confusing crit chance (technically capped at 100% as you can’t crit more than 100% of the time) and crit damage (which as far as I’ve seen is no hard capped at 100% additional critical damage)
Yeah I don’t think crit damage has a cap.

The cap is 120%.
The cap is 120%.
It’s 126% to be exact, or 129% if u play with Superior runes of Rage being under fury…

I think those numbers are the max critical dmg you can gain by adding all the bonuses from different sources (boons, food, etc.) not necessarily the cap.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
I am curious what all is being used for the calculation.
Traits, Food, ETC. I wonder because I want to double check and make sure nothing is missed.
Does this include WvW bonuses?
Does this include All Ascended Gear with Proper Infusions?
Any extra info would be appreciated
