Guild Wars 2

I recently bought a piece of ascended gear (berserker ring) that delved for 8% crit damage. This replaced my existing ring that displayed 3% crit damage + 3% more for the gem.

Before equipping the new item, my crit damage displayed at 99%. After equipping, it still displays 99%. Is this a new cap? Have I done something wrong with my equipment?

There definitely isn’t a cap which means you either equipped a shortbow and thought you had more before when you were using 2 weapons or you might be bugged.
