Critique my Condi build
there are already several threads about condition builds on the forums, just scroll through the pages and you’ll find them. condition thieves can apply alot of pressure to your opponent especially if they just assume you’re another backstab build but condition engineers/necromancers > condition thieves.

I know there are already several condi thief builds, im just looking for critiques on mine. And if condi engis/necros > thief, why would anyone play condi thief?
Your build is remarkably similar to the one I posted on the thief build thread. If used right this build really can take down anyone. The only trait I would look at is shadows embrace which removes conditions in stealth. The utilities used already will be enough to remove conditions sufficiently. Rather, Cloaked in Shadow will blind on steal and any other stealth hindering a mesmer’s ability to cast phantasms or a necro’s ability to place conditions on you.

I heavily doubt that.

Cloaked in Shadow is indeed nice, and I would use it instead of Hidden Thief. You already can use CnD for what this trait does.
Carrion-gear could be worth considering to buff up the direct damage a bit. That’s because Thieves aren’t that good at stacking condis (unless bursting them with some kind of venomshare-build or using D/D and caltrops in PvE), so the added direct damage might help. Using runes to increase the duration of your conditions could also help to increase the overall stack-size you can apply (and thus make them hurt more), I think; because the basic-duration isn’t that high.
