Guild Wars 2

First of all I would like to say that I find solo roaming to be very boring, I prefer fighting with a small group of around 5 people. But this does not mean I hate watching all of you solo roamers.

With that said, I run a high burst d/d thief (10/30/30/0/0) and I usually roam with a few of my friends. My main role in group play is to deal heavy burst to targets one by one as fast and efficiently as possible (applying constant pressure as well), then getting the stealth stomps off as. Basically, I do the most damage and spike most of the downed players. Yes, this play style is really selfish as it does not provide support to your teammates besides providing stealth. But if your group has no problem with you running it because you play it so effectively then why not do it?

To answer any thieves out there wondering if D/D is viable in a team composition, yes it is imo. You just gotta know how to play it. Anyone can copy a build, how you play the class is what defines how good and effective you are.

Here is a video showing me and two of my fellow tM guild members fighting outnumbered in WvW. I’m not the best but I try. Any feedback I would gladly like to hear because i’m always looking to become better. (pss don’t tell me to play d/p -_-)

Well played, no doubt, but aren’t you just abusing the Iron Hide bug that was active for a few days? It provides you with 50% damage reduction and it seems to be active all the time in the video.

Iron hide? Are you mistaking that blue icon to be my Applied Fortitude buff? I don’t have any WvW points put into flame ram mastery so I have no idea why I would have the iron hide buff. Applied Fortitude gives me extra vitality thats all.

Nope, the white Shield symbol on the blue surface. Just checked, it’s definitely there for most of the video.

No idea how you might have got it without the spec-lines but if this footage was recorded a week or so ago then chances are it was bugging in your favor.
