Well, stats don’t exactly split the way you’re describing you want to build in this game. By DPS D/D, I’ll take it you mean power (instead of DoT D/D). Most of your stats come from your armor and trinkets (rings, earrings, backpiece). While you could have power daggers and a condi SB, the condi stats from just the shortbow won’t make your condi damage high, but the loss of ~180 power (at max level) will be noticeable. SB is largely a utility weapon for thief (and happens to be one of our best). So if you want, you can pick power or condi damage and people can make suggestions from there, but thief really doesn’t do hybrid damage well either.

As he said, you can’t really do both at the same time as we aren’t built for that. Instead, focus on one or the other. If you would really like Condition damage, invest in pistol/dagger instead as that can apply more conditions that the shortbow in the form of the auto attack and the stealth attack which applies bleeds per hit. If it’s damage you want, go for high precision and ferosity for critical damage, which is best used for backstabs.

if you want to do both look in to sinsters(power prec con) or celestial(all stat) another good way to get more dmg is by vul know that it scale with power an con.

death blossom is garbage skill probably get you killed if you try to use it.
new choking gas / poison scale terrible on con dmg not really worth looking at.

but all that being said do not let people on forums stop you xD play w/e you think is cool

Celestial sucks on Thief (poor heal scaling, miniscule durability regardless of stats). Sinister is cool if you like a condition-heavy playstyle, but it’s a hard stat package to get as a new player; most of it is on account-bound crafted gear.

Try Rampager in the meantime if generic Berserker isn’t your thing, though.

is this something this guy could be looking for?

Dagger mainhand for condi is pretty much considered ineffective. I think you’d be better off just playing P/P condi interruption and just removing the berserker stats off of your gear altogether. D/P has a lot of initiative burning for gains you’d probably better see on D/D. In the event you still would stay D/P, I’d also suggest Uncatchable or Flanking Strikes in Trickery over ToTC considering haste will synergize better with your condition application via more chances per unit of time to proc the poison, and Uncatchable obviously for condition damage boosts.

For a kind of similarly-niche build focusing on unorthodox traiting, I’d probably look further into something like this:

Granted, it changes the style substantially.
