hi all, i’m new to GW2 as you can see, and i carefully looked on forum for an answer to my question without success..
I read about many build about leveling, mainly S/P but it’s not really my style…

Is it possible to be particularly effective in dungeon and in leveling too with a D/D burst build that use Cloak and Dagger and Backstab? If yes with which traits/utility/stats?

I could also go D/D condition, but everyone told me and i read on forum that is uneffective in dungeon even if good in leveling.. i really love high single dps build that fit well for both dungeon/boss and leveling

The problem with D/D is that it’s single target. You level fastest and complete dungeon faster when you’re using S/P, because tons of times you will be facing multiple enemies.

You can certainly use D/D still, just that you’ll definitely hamper your party’s DPS and your own DPS when you’re facing multiple enemies. The only AoE is Death Blossoms, and when people say conditions are inferior in dungeons, they’re right about that. This is because enemies gets killed with pure DPS much quicker than the conditions can deal since the damage is more spread out over a period of time.

D/D is thus only used during single boss encounters. Nothing quite match the Heartseeker once below 25%, and the CnD/Backstab chain does do higher damage on a single target than the Sword. Once you’re high enough level, go do Citadel of Flame path 1 with D/D, it feels quite satisfying when there’s multiple single enemies for you to backstab and Heartseeker on.

So you say SP is the way to go.. To bad I don’t really like the style, i want a shadow sneaky thief like it should be XD
I guess I’ll go for a single target burst build, I’ll be kitten while leveling but I guess I can do good in dungeon and vs boss.. The problem is I can find only lvl 80 burst dd build, does someone did a guide about leveling and dungeon whit DD burst?
