D/P & P/D test build
What gear are you using? I’ve only ever played P/D as condition but can’t see how you would mix that in with D/P. I’d like to hear more about your rotations and experiences with this build. Do you open up with D/P and switch to P/D or how do you do it?

6 Rune of the Dolyak
Armor+jewel berserker in spvp (I don’t know for pve/wvw because I need vit and pve’s berserker has not)
D/P and P/D with sigil of superior blood and sigil of rage
Rotation:
Start with P/D → Vital Shot → CnD →Vital Shot → Cnd → Switch D/P → Backstab
If enemy vit is under 50% after my backstab → Heartseeker → Heartseeker… otherwise I restart P/D rotation.
Shadow Shot & Infiltrator’s Signet to stay close at the target
Headshot to interrupt
Hide in shadows, shadow refuge and blinding powder if I can’t use CnD or when I need to run away.
I played that weapon set combo as full glass cannon before, it was easier than a backstab build. I would mug CnD and sneak attack, because its lazier and easier than backstab, you don’t have to run behind them, don’t need bas venom so u can pick up another elite, and usually everyone is under %50 then you heart seeker away. If they were bunkers, pistol still do good damage regardless of what everyone says, I would just shoot them a couple more times and heart seeker away

Full berserker equip doesn’t give you decent amount of hp imho, I would like to have 16k hp at least.
What do you think about berserker armor + any trinket precision and vitality?

i was aiming towards having some bit of hp at first for any build, and feel like it was pointless, cause ur gonna get bursted down if ur caught, so i usually try to apply a high hp regen in my builds usually somehow (omnomberry ghost and SoM works really good with pistols sneak attack imo)
i didnt really try to find a good set of runes or sigils so i just used rubies on all my armor, but i think its a must to have on the p/d set a sigil of hydromancy so when ur using d/p you can shadowshot and weapon swap for an easy cnd hit, its like having a free bas venom every weapon swap that way for your cnd

I’m not very coordinated so I tend to use Condition Damage to keep the damage running. So basically for me, burst damage is out of the question because of my lack of skills. Traits for initiative and Vigor to keep me moving.
I usually start off with D/D, CnD, Backstab, Death Blossom, then swap, so my Sigils of Geomancy can keep the bleeds going for another 7 seconds, while I pop Black Powder and Heartseeker. I like using Roll for Initiative followed by Shadow Shot to get in close for the Auto-attack. They try to run, I swap back to D/D, thereby activating my Sigil of Hydromancy to slow them for 3 seconds(I’m slow, so this helps out alot

Keeping them blind with Shadow Shot, Signet of Shadows, and Head Shot for the Interrupts also helps me. Using Signet of Infiltration also is nice, in case you are on your back you get back up and in the opponent’s face
Primarily I play an Engineer, so I’m trying new things out. I just dinged 80, so I’m constantly on the look out for ideas.

i was using d/p p/d for condition also, it was pretty fun, bleeds with p/d and poison with d/p, it was already QQ enough from stealth in p/d, it was worst when i was in d/p blinding ppl to add venoms just to swtich back to p/d lol
The stats of my build (at the top of thread) is not reproducible with pve stuff, but I found a good compromise:
Armor, trinkets and weapons → berserker
Back → Risen Spineguard + Crest of the Shaman
Rune → 5x Superior Rune of the Soldier + 1x Superior Rune of the Dolyak
I’ll try my build in PvE/WvW and I’ll tell you if is good or not :P
