Guild Wars 2

Well Right now I am not really looking for a build or anything I am just wondering how good is a Dare Devil for general pve like Map Completion or events? I am not really going to make it my Main class but like play it once in awhile.

I hate questions like this one…just play it if you like it…
Some will always say thief sucks and some will always praise it..

I love my Daredevil..Great dmg, great mobility.
I am just deeply disappointed in the utility skills. They just suck and are useless in PvE..

I am going with Bullet here.
When I read the Thief forums (as well as the Engineer one) it takes two posts until a total harmless question spins out of control and becomes a theorycraft fest, resulting in a seemingly “perfect” playstile.

Heck, I just play my thief/assassin like I feel. If you like it – with or without HoT / Daredevil – just play it. I am totally happy with this profession (core or not) and I would never ask if it’s easy when I simply can try that out. If you still have that Level 80 thing in your inventory try that. It actually decided it for me to go with the five-finger-discounters.

But else: Play what you enjoy. This is the very most important thing. Better to take it 2 more hits than the “awsum dmg” FOTM stuff that you hate to play.

As posters said above, gather your own experience. It’s very subjective.

I personally love the swiftness a thief / dd offers, compared to other classes.
If you like moving around quickly and kill things fast, you’ll love the profession.
But you’ll have to be attentive about dodging and positioning, since the thief isn’t forgiving any crucial mistakes (dd more than vanilla).

My preferred open world build is Staff+PP DD/Acro/Trickery. Acro is great for defence, and then I use Trickery to buff Steal and provide an extra daze for Defiance Bars.

I recommend it, thief was the last profession I made and now I enjoy it the most.
