Hi Anet,

Have you considered modifying the animation of the dash dodge for thief? Can’t exactly recall its actual name, the one which gives you perma swiftness. It looks a bit rushed to be honest.

I much more prefer a modification to staff holding animation.

However, the dash would look better if it were switched instead to a single movement , not lots of quick leg moves like it is now. I’m speaking of human female btw, I have not really paid much attention to other races/genders.

Overall though, a change to staff holding is much more needed. Dash looks fine, like sure it could be improved, but staff is in critical condition.

Also, I think anet rarely changes animations of anything. The only example I can think of is sword for ranger. But that was for gameplay reasons, not aesthetic reasons.

Dash is perfect for sneakysnake Thieves. I’m a Sylvari though idk if it looks disgusting and vile on anything else. If anything all they need to do is add a Projectile Finisher to it.

Yeah I was, I even remember being surprised by the improved staff 1 chain animation when nevermore was being introduced. But during that time it was a beta and that does not count. I was reffering to things that had officially released.

The distance on dash is a problem for me, puts you too far away from the fight when all you were attempting to do is dodge. Makes it really hard to dodge within shadow refuge as well without going over the edge. Honestly if I could get the old dodge animation/distance back with the bonus’ of dash that’d be my ideal.
