Destroy Shadow Trap Problem
I’m okay with small channeling time when trap was not triggered by anybody (it can be interrupted), but please remove 2 minute timer on the trap and set it to inifnity like before. Currently, thief can’t win solo against anybody competitive except other thieves and glass cannon eles (and this is only while wielding mighty S/D weapon set), so I think it would be fair.

Then you’re probably play it wrong. Tho I do agree that making even 1 mistake on thief is punished by death while other classess don’t have that problem at all (balance my kitten.

I wouldn´t like the return part removed, you lose a lot of utility that way, like fast traveling to help in another cap point or escaping.
I think it would be better if they make the stun break activate while casting (so the stunbreak part is instant cast as it was before) but the teleport part activates only after finishing the cast. If you dodge or cancel the casting or if you get interrupted(after the stun break activates), the skill gets on CD but with a reduced CD , like 8 to 12 seconds less.
Probably they want to Shadow Persuit to be the main reason to take the trap instead of Destroy Shadow Trap, the stun brake part of that part of the skill still is fine. Im not going to take that trap anymore if you ask me (of course you don´t), traps are the most unreliable skills of the thieves utilities, what make it poorly atractive to most builts.
I switched out shadow trap too after using it a few days. It just doesn’t work with my playing style anymore… Might consider using it again in the future but for now I’ll be testing other unpopular traits

Shadow Trap just seems to be a badly designed skill that is staggering from one broken state to another. If it ever becomes fit for purpose it would become abusive at the same time so I’ve no idea why the designers are persisting with it. The shadowstep design is too similar and simply better.
Thieves would be better suited with the stun breaker put onto a signet instead, allowing a rework of traps to make them good utilities in their own right.

kitten , I only looked on the wiki skills overview and it didn’t list the stun break. It makes you wonder why we have the stun break on the trap at all then.
You don’t have to finish the skill. If you don’t want to shadowstep away, or don’t have time to finish the casting, you can activate it, then cancel it immediately. It will still break stuns. It’s saved my bacon a lot of times, but has also killed me if I use it too late and/or don’t cancel.
It just has to be used preemptively if you want to escape using it.
I like it because it gives a lot of options for a single skill. A stunbreak and an escape, or just a stunbreak and cancel if you don’t have time, or a stunbreak, stealth, and some boons if you put it in the battlefield instead of putting it to the side.
It’s a bit more powerful than you might think.
