Do Thieves want 2hander Melee focused specialization in future expansions?

If so, what 2hander Melee weapon you all want?

I sincerely hope the thief specialization won’t be rifle. I can accept the pistols as it is the pirate style, but rifle is really going too far.

They make noise, are not stealthy at all, and most importantly friggin lame.
Give us a ninja asssassin style longbow instead!

If it is to be a melee weapon, GS may be cool. But dual swords makes a bit more sense perhaps. Either way, I am curious as to what kind of skills/mechanics a melee weapon could bring that’s worthy of specialization.

Staff without magic is not making sense to me but thats just my opinion.

Staff would be cool… If they use it like a Bo-staff in melee!

Although I agree that would be cool, keep in mind that the “Thief” is not an “Assassin”, even tho I wish it was.

The Thief is stealthy tho, so I hope they don’t break that archetype somehow.

Seriously, though … I woulda been all over Staff or (land)Spear. Eh, hopefully if Thief does get Rifle, they’ll at least make it tricky and/or stylish.

I hope we don’t get rifle at least the 1200 version that everyone post about. Really I could play a ranger…

Instead it would be interesting to play something like the risen jesters in Orr. They could make the torch work.
