Does Hard to Catch affect Taunt?

Can’t confirm whether or not it will, but if I had to make a guess, I would expect it to. HtC likely just calls a generic stunbreak function, which will break taunt.

Yes and it is glorious.

Ya, I am loving acro right now for spvp. Feels very great to finally have some point sustain with with extra initiative, 2 second dodge at 50% and auto stunbreak. Makes the thief hard to lock down when combined with daredevil. I’m actually running without trickery for the first time in a long time.
Acro vastly underrated in my opinion.
perhaps it is, but i would not run acro and DD. seems too much of a loss in dmg.
gw1 – healing signet/frenzy/charge
Acro vastly underrated in my opinion.
it’s still objectively worse than Daredevil and not good enough to be paired with it over Deadly Arts and Trickery.
only people using Acro are [FEAR] baddies because it’s niche for dueling other thieves; it still gets stomped by DA/TR/DD against a better player though.
the only standout trait from Acro is Hard to Catch but even that is rendered redundant by just using Bandit’s Defense instead.

in a d/d condition build I would take Acro over any other traitline after DD. If one traits specifically for heal in the build this , coupled with SOM, offers tremendous sustained pressure . In my own Condition build I do not take HTC. I find GI works very well here as health often above 75 percent.
S/d using acro allows one to free up PI and or bounder much more readily.
You can not just look at ACRO for what it offers in the way of more damage. You use it to allow you to free up utilities for your utility bar and traits in DD. Upper hand as example will get you full time regen in such a build along with that full time vigor and will fuel excellent INI gain. (one ini every evade with a 2 second cooldown is more INI then prepardeness) That regen offers more in the way of healing than does mug.
dd/Acro/trickery just in s/d means one does not really need escapists and can have full time vigor/regen/swiftness wherein lead attacks will usually always be at its full 15 percent which will give your sword AA a flat 20 percent bonus to all attacks without having to get the enemies health down below 50 percent first. Again this with no HTC.
A DD/Acro/trickery build offers both more INI and more endurance than you can get in any other build. These are both sources of damage (making up for what is lost not goind into da/or cs) and damage mitigation. (greater ability to use INI for defensives off weapon set or dodges for evades) There are advantages here.
I do not play PvP but I can look at how respective builds work relative to one another in WvW given I have thousands of hours in there. it not mathematically possible that everytime I use ACRO in one of my builds I am facing a bad player. Given I love to experiment with builds and have 4 thieves on my account , I can easily take in one build over the other and see how well it fares.
If a build where I take Acro consistently fares better then the same type of build using DA or trickery , than that Acro is doing something to allow that.
I have concluded that dependent on the type of build and what it will focus on, Acro is much more usable than it was .
Again a few more tweaks needed. I suggest a 1 second resistance on GI when it successfully cleanses a condition and a tweak to either the steal cooldown return for SE (as example 2 seconds on a successful evade) or the sword bonus (7 -10 percent. 10 might be a tad rich). I also suggest that the traits “Instant reflexes , HTC and Don’t stop” be turned into a deception , physical and a trick respectively given Acro the only traitline that does not allow a lower cooldown on skill types.
