Dual pistols viable?
So basically, you want Gun Dance from Dungeon Fighter Online. Reminds me why I wish we could adjust what weapon skills we had on, I’d trade Unload for Gun Dance in a heartbeat for WvW.
PvE Main – Zar Poisonclaw – Daredevil
WvW Main – Ghost Mistcaller – Herald
I used them in sPvP for a while. They’re fun and deal pretty good damage if you go full glass (I’ve one-shotted elementalists with Unload).
I guess the reason they’re so unpopular is because they have no stealth or evades, so you won’t last long if the enemies decide to come after you.
They also don’t have any mobility, which is pretty important for thieves.
so p/d gets cnd and they get ‘unload’ from coming out of stealth
the sneak attack bleeds too…
so why go dual wield… ?
Anything can be viable if you put the work in to maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses through your gameplay. Some builds are just easier to play than others.
I tend to pop it out if I want to range a single target at range. Champion trains, a couple of bosses in dungeons, etc.
I would never main it but it’s useful to have an extra pistol in your inventory sometimes

Not at all, though. Sneak Attack’s coefficients are rather weak when you toss aside the bleed damage.
P/P is decent, it’s just difficult to deal with being hit or most notably escape from something/someone as it’s the set with the lowest mobility.

i play it quite a bit in pvp, its fun, its easy and it hits pretty dam hard!
but you lose a lot of utility so its not really for serious tpvp, great for hotjoin though
ricochet, unload + signet of malice = beautiful green numbers!
