Goal of this elite is make thief a brawling class more honest fighting then relying on stealth having strong on Eva mech and more sources of blind.

Duel Skills.
Sword Sword Dual skill: Spin around pulling foes toward the thief within 240 Radius Evaing attack for 3/4 of a second.
4 Initiative

Dagger sword Dual Skill: Block incoming attack for 1.5 seconds. Second chain thrust dagger forward causing 1/4 daze If interrupted dealing 20% more dmg.
First is 3 Initiative, Second is 2 Initiative

Pistol Sword Dual Skill: Roll Forward 1/2 eva stabbing foe .5 second Stun. Second Chain Fire Pistol shot with a time explosion Dealing AoE dmg with in 200 Radius.
First is 3 Initiative, Second is 2 Initiative

Sword Skill 4 : Slash the air causing projectile to reflect. Projectile that are reflected become unblockble.
4 Initiative

Sword Skill 5 : Slash your foe applying a 5 second debuff causing blind every second.

Traits: Minor Passive: Unlock Offhand Sword. Gain 15% Vit For power.

Minor Traits: -When using a dual skill 33% chance to Rip a boon.
-Deal 10% more dmg after Evaing an attack.
-Stances have 33% faster recharge time.

Major Passive Trait: Cause Blind on evaing attack 15s CD.

Major Traits: -33% on hit to cuase blind 0ICD
-Stances will now apply to Allies An remove 1 Con on actvation.
-Cause Slow when you cast a Dual skill.

Grand Master Passive: Gain Healing Stance at 50% HP 40s CD

-Stances now last Twice as long Passively restore 1% HP pre second and 1 initiative.
-Blind Cap is raises to 2 stacks.
-Foes gain 1 stack of vulnerability pre second of blind.

1.Healing Stance Gain 30% healing pre dmg dealt 5 8 seconds cleanse 1 Con every 10% hp restore.
40 second CD

2.Evaing Stance Gain 50% chance to eva attack for 5 second Each time you eva an attack you have 33% chance to cause blind.
60 second CD

3.Damage Stance Gain Unblockable damage for 3 seconds.
35 second CD

4.Crowd Control Gain stability everytime a stability chance is removed gain a random boon.
35 second CD

Could you please double-check your spelling? This is painful and confusing to read. I’m not nitpicky about spelling in general but in this case it’s even hard to understand what you are trying to say in some places.

Yannir for males. (guard,thief,war,ele)
Sonya for females. (necro,rev,ranger,mes,engi)
All classes lvl 80.

I think something like a “Dualist”, (Dualest is just wrong and doesn’t exist as word)
would be just a waste of an Elite Spec for Thieves.

Offhand Sword is something, that should have been added to Thieves as Base Weapon Option already long ago…
Seriously, they can wield dual daggrs, they can wield already in mainhand a Sword, it should be really not for a Thief complete rocket science to wield also as well 2 swords at the same time.
On top of that are Thieves among Warriors in my opinion the only class with the dexterity in combat to do so, which are trimmed to use a swift and slicing combat style. (And before Ranger Sympathizers can complain – you have already your Dual Axes and Rangers aren’t designed for a swift slicing combat style unlike Thieves, their Axes are Throwing Weapons and made for Self Defense)

Additionally.. if your goal was truly to make the thief with this Spec a Brawler, then you shopuld have named the spec also that way and Brawlers don’t use conventional weapons, they just use their fists and feet and use all kinds martial arts from Kickboxing to Muay Thai to Taek Won Do ect.

If there is any class in this game to which this kind of combat style would fit, then it is the Thief – but in the end would it be still an Elite Specialization for that ANet would have to add a new Weapon Type – the Gauntlet/Fist Ring/Claw (whatever it will be, the others can be reskins later)

And I guess the next expansion won’t be the one, where Anet proves as, that they are able to implement with Elite Specializations also new Weapon Types – sadly

Why do I say explicitly, that making a Offhand Spec for Thief would be a complete waste???

Just look for the asnwer onto your first example skills!! the result would be basically nothi8ng else than Thief 2.0 as Elite Spec, nothing new, nothing unique, nothign special, nothign different on what we have already with Thief.
Thats why Offhand Sword should become a Base Weapon for Thief, its already a weapon that thieves can use and theres no logical reason why they shouldnt be able to use them in both hands…

Elite Specs should be there in first line to give classes new weapons, new gameplay mechanics and new different combat styles, new roles that help the Base Class in fact to get more build diversity as a whole.

The problem with giving thieves a brawling spec, is that Shortbow exists. Thieves are the highest mobility class in the game, and giving them teamfight capabilities will likely turn thief into the god class of the game.

The problem with giving thieves a brawling spec, is that Shortbow exists. Thieves are the highest mobility class in the game, and giving them teamfight capabilities will likely turn thief into the god class of the game.

I wouldn’t mind if shortbow 5 was nerfed or something. It’s just too good you feel forced to carry it just for mobility no matter what.

The idea is not bad in itself however, there is to many stance traits. 1 stance trait is enough in a spec. Stance are just skills, you can’t force skills into a player just because he took an E-spec. However, building the spec a bit more around “dual” skills could make the spec pretty refreshing, we could even imagine new dual skills for every weapon combination. (which wouldn’t be an impossibility since they were able to do something similar for the warrior on the berserker)

No core profession should be balanced around an optional elite specialization.

The word you’re looking for is “Duelist”.

A ‘duel’ is a contest between two participants.
‘Dual’ means consisting of two parts, elements, or aspects.

‘-est’ would imply something being ‘the most’ whatever it proceeds.
‘-ist’ is the ending for “some one who does” that thing that this proceeds.

dual-est
Something that is composed of two parts more than any other thing is composed of two parts.

duel-ist
One who engages in 1 on 1 fights.
