you can still use Smoke bomb utility for greater effect.
Love the buff to PP and venoms. Finally i can be useful (bit sad about that venom change too since poison venom + poison master ranger was actually good)

Nope. The cleave only applies to Double Strike, Wild Strike and Lotus Strike.

Basically, dag aa can cleave 2 targets, fs and ls on sword had an ini rework (fs costs 4 and no longer switches to ls unless you hit something and ls was reduced to 1) that was not really as bad as we thought it would be, sb poison skill has a hit on impact so people cant spam it from stealth, venoms now use your condi stats when shared and pp had unload cast time shortened so thieves now have what feels like a machine gun set There was probably some more but that’s what I got.
Well, looks like it’s back to the dumps with sword, it was a good year and a half.

SB 4 does a bit direct damage (thus revealing on stealth, but can now proc on crit runes)
Pistol 3 (unload) cast animation made shorter
Pistol 1 (from stealth) cast animation made shorter
These animation changes are applied to TG NPC’s
Sword 3 require a hit for larcenous strike to activate
Venomous Aura now scale off thief condi, not the player(s) you shared venom with
Black Powder now pulses slower (once every 2 sec instead of every sec), blind duration reduced.

[trait] Invigorating Precision – 5% to 8%
[trait] Ricochet – added effect of increasing range by 150 (for a total of 1050)
[trait] Venom Share – shared venoms effects will be based on thief’s condi stat
[weapon] dagger auto will cleave 2 targets (not including backstab)
[weapon] black powder blind reduced to 2 second base and will only pulse once every 2 seconds
[weapon] Flanking strike – increased ini cost by 1 and will no longer chain into larcenous strike unless you hit something
[weapon] larcenous stike – decrease ini cost by 1
[weapon] unload – cast time decreased by 20%
[weapon] choking gas will now do a tiny bit of physical damage when it lands (taking you out of stealth)

-Dagger aa chain hits up to 2 targets now. BS unaffected (I’d assume).
-BPS now pulses once every 2 seconds. Blind reduced to 2 seconds.
-Venom share now works off your stats not your allies (i.e condition damage, healing power).
-Richochet now grants 150 range in addition to its other effects. Also the bounce is “more reliable”.
-Unload has a shorter cast time (~20% faster).
-Flanking strike now costs 4 initiative
-Larcenous strike now costs 1 initiative however it will not be available unless FS hit something.
-choking gas now has a “hit” associated with it (so it will cause reveal).
-IP now grants 8% of your critical damage dealt as healing.
-Panic strike now has a 2.5 second immobilize base with a 20 sec ICD.
Also….
-Steal still bugged
-many useless traits still stand. This is gana apply to all 8 professions it seems like :/
-thief Q.Q will continue to rise.

Uhh you do realize that you now won’t be able to use lar strike now on blocking opponents?
Or use flanking to clear the blind for it???
D/P trickery just got kitten d in the kitten with BP changes
Also you all are forgetting you all still might be seeing more 6 sec reveal skills.

it was a fairly balanced patch. Remember that the things we see in the podcast is merely a preview of the bigger changes. Bug fixes and smaller shaves/buffs are not mentioned to keep these podcasts short.

Pfft…it’s a cleave of 1 target on auto-attack only. This doesn’t change much and if anything, the BP change will keep me using S/D instead of D/P.
