I can confirm that this does not affect the sigil of air. Can’t say anythig about he fire sigil though since I don’t use it.

I actually have a different experience. With 6/6 Sigil of Air, I’ve noticed that I will get revealed when it triggers on hit. I’ve expereinced this on my Mesmer and my Thief, I suggest 5 Sigil of Air and a Orb of your choice.

You’re confusing rune of air for the sigil of air. The 6/6 air rune has a chance to proc a lightning strike whenever you are struck. Yes, it can proc while you are stealthed and give revealed. SIGIL of air, has a 30% chance to proc when you crit an enemy.

its not the flame blast its the aoe damage it does, it happens when you stealth and the aoe or other attack with hit shortly after, does it with the stealth on steal, and doing damage and poisoning at the same time.
happens every now and then with attacking sigils, nothing you can do about but deal with it.

If this was always this way then I am baffled since I have never had this problem. Im traited for a crit out of stealth so essentially BS has a 30% fire blast chance so regardless Im going to be revealed, but now I see zerg surfing this can get you killed with cloak and daggering your way through. Even still Ive never had this happen before.

I have had this happen with sigil of air as well. It’s rare… but occasionally the effect from the sigil will lag and hit the target slightly after the cloak and dagger finishes (causing revealed). Thankfully I’ve only had this happen in PvE on maps where it’s been busy with an event so far…

No, this never use to happen. Anet either bugged it or now it’s working as intended (oh god I hope not)

Backstabs reveal you anyway and they have a decent chance to proc the sigil and put it on cooldown, while cloak and dagger under regular (lowish?) crit chance would not only have a small chance to trigger the blast, it would typically be used during the cooldown.
Today, I got revealed randomly twice in the same match without flame blast, so it must be something else. Mesmer jumped on me with sword combo. It looked like last refuge revealed me somehow after stealthing with C&D. No, it didin’t interrupt me in the middle of swing animation, I was already stealthed for 2 seconds.

I was in Lornar’s Pass fighting Jotuns when I CnD’d and I got revealed shortly after. I thought I had backstabbed but his wasn’t the case since I checked my combat log and only saw a cloak and dagger and flame blast. So to test it, I CnD again off of a Jotun and sure enough the cloak and dagger made a flame blast which then revealed me. Is anyone getting this? This has never happened before :s if air sigil does the same thing now Im mad
Works the same way as Big Ol’ Bomb on the smoke trap field. You get insta-revealed because, for some weird reason, Big O’l Bomb AoE hits twice, so I’m assuming Flame Blast is working the same way :/
I used sigil of fire once on a dagger and that was it. It kept revealing me and I went back to air. Another thing that sucks is if you click on a person twice and get within range then backstab will auto attack.
