Fractal thief
full zerk, s/p and shortbow. If you cant dodge or have lag you might want some tankier pieces.
Or you can play p/p with no offhand set and spam 3 like the devs do.
If i can’t be pro..i’ll be dev..
i run p/p andlove it for fractals. i still do 10k dmg per attack (unload) and have about 14k hp and lots of dodges etc.
10 30 0 0 30
sleight of hand
ricochet
long reach
mug
exucutioner
pistol mastery (10% extra pistol dmg nice for unload)
practiced tolerance
i use superior sigils of restoration and fire
runes arechoice
skills :
Signet of malice (withdraw for bosses)
roll for initiative (great for unload heals and boss dodges)
signet of agility (more dodges for defense and more dmg)
or
Shadowstep
shadow refuge (great for 2 free sneak attacks and a nice lifesteal for extra dmg/heal)
daggerstorm (thieves guild for bosses)
Played guradian/warrior heavies heaps..but i still have a full exotic P.V.T w/ berserker trinkets thief just gathering dust.
Looking for solid fractal build.
Willing to compromise on high spike damage in favor of consistent good damage and ability to survive more than one shot. I am comfortable with boss animations and how to evade.
Have all good quality weapons, so recommends can be sword/dagger/pistol/shortbow..I am not fussy on sticking to specific weapons just for the sake of it.
Thanks in advance.
Bring full zerker gear, spec 25/30/0/0/15, use D/D for single target fights, P/P for single target non-melee fights, either S/P or short bow for AoE trash, and bring your A game because surviving on a thief is a lot harder than with a warrior or guardian.
You can use a variety of builds so if you like condition cleanse on stealth, keep it. If you like vigor on heal then keep it. Full zerker builds of course are the best in guild groups but with PUGs you are putting your life in their hands.
Use all the weapons and all the utilities.
I had made a post regarding a similar topic a while back which can be found here.
Any build that says use these specific weapons and utilities only can be disregarded. Fights are different across different fractals and, often, within individual fractals. You need to adapt: change weapons, armour, utilities and sometimes even traits [although keeping the same distribution as otherwise it will prove too tedious].
Thief is not an easy class to play in high level fractals. You have to be awake at all times as most things will down you in 1-2 shots. You heavily rely on your team mates: a good team allows you to be amazing while a bad one will make you regret bringing a thief.
