Sooo I am not the person that complains on forums or even create topics. But seriously what were you thinking when you designed the Actobatic line. It is completely useless.
S/d thiefs are completely useless. It was the only build I really enjoyed playing. It feels like you are forcing us to play d/p with SA/DA and Trickery which is the most BORING build a thief can play. So where is the “build variety”, all i can see is either you go d/p or nothing.
I used to play D/D long ago untill you destroyed it aswell so whats up with the hate for thiefs. All you had to do was leave the Acrobatics line as it was and ADD something new to it like you did with other classes. It kinda saddens me since I play since launch. I am playing all classes except ranger ( cause its ridiculous) but I main thief and I had the feeling that the other classes got buffed stronger than thieves. Just my opinion.

It seems a little early to completely say that you are forced to play d/p DA/SA/Trick. Honestly I think that DA/CS/Trick is stronger anyways, but maybe that is just me.

S/D isn’t nearly as strong as it used to be, but if its your favorite spec then you can always play it and still be viable (assuming you’re a good player otherwise). Playing around with s/d using DA (or CS which I think is possibly actually better with S/D), Acro and Trickery was not too bad overall. The damage of the build is higher than it was before with the increases to stats, but the survivability did take a hit. Using withdraw, signet of agility, SR, and Shadowstep gave me decent survivability while having more dmg than before with s/d.

I know that a lot of people who used to main s/d are not happy about the acro changes and there are some aspects that should not have been nerfed as much (Feline grace probably should’ve just been changed to give less endurance back instead of just vigor), but playing acro myself I didn’t feel like it was absolutely terrible. Probably has to do with how I didn’t play acro before the patch so I wasn’t acclimated to the amount of dodges that were available.

I’ve been playing DA/ACRO/TRICKERY for the most part and I fee like I survive much better than before between Pain Response, Hard to Catch, and any of the last three really. I play mostly DA/CRIT/TRICKERY in open pve but in WvW the acro line feels a lot more clutch in action than it looks like on paper.

Like yourself though it might just be a matter of how I play since I normally float around the main zerg doing my own stuff until I see the need to jump in and intercept or plus-one for commanders or Shadowstep smart bomb onto enemy artillery to inspire a rush. The Acro line currently is a little more forgiving for those purposes than it was before and I still feel mostly in control of a fight with executioner on the closing half of even without a +10 damage modifier but damage does feel a little too labored without the Crit line.

why is it to early to say that S/D is bit over nerfed?

p/d > s/d now wtf am i suppose to do when hes in hide? before i had my obvious dodge over a p/d thief now im equal to p/d thief without hide every second..

i got kitten d multiple times in a row by p/d thief simply cus whenever i start the fight and i dont finish him in stun / paralize / whatever u call it.
he takes control > hide > attack > hide > attack gf that was it..

s/d thief atm is a canon flodder we lost our deffense but i dont give a kitten its only way i enjoy playing thief and ill just be that disabled thief trying hard..

I used to play condi thief, but thanks to these changes and Anet’s version of “Build Diversity”, I am now a typical burst thief in PvP.

Don’t worry S/D lovers, Anet also pushed condi thieves into uselessness in PvP too. Meanwhile just having a dagger mainhand with burst damage is the only way left to go. Doesn’t really matter what offhand you take, doesn’t make too much difference, as long as you have the only thing that’s even remotely effective for thief anymore, backstab.

Completly agree with you,tho try playing DA/CS/Trickery , with all the ferocity traits,you’ll crit 6k atuo attacks with sword it really nice.
