[TWG] – Gunnar’s Hold
Always remember Wheaton’s Law
Hi all,
So I have finally got my little thief up to level 80 and I’m not really sure how to gear her. I’m running sword/dagger main and shortbow offhand and feel like I’ve got the hang of that for the most part (sword/dagger at least). Currently running 0/30/20/20/0 build focusing on crits and stealth mainly. Not 100% sure what I’ll be doing with her now she’s 80, but probably my usual mix of PvE and WvW.
Leaning towards Knights, Clerics or Valkyrie but really not sure whether to keep going for the stats that are already strongest or try to cover some of my weaker spots. I have heaps of WvW badges and a max-level leatherworker so no problems there. Any suggestions?
I suspect Berserker is going to get mentioned as well. It makes things fall down.
I’d try to get Vitality where you can. Thieves have painfully low health. Valkyrie is appealing in that regard, though you’ll want more precision as well, to make that crit damage matter.
Here’s a fast and loose possible spec I tossed together. I won’t call it perfect, but it’s a possible jumping off point for some of the more experienced bursty-thieves to critique.

Soldiers hat legs body weapons, berserker everything else, go!
If you’re looking to do hefty damage, try berserker gear with berserker/Valkyrie ascended trinkets for increased vitality while still maintaining your DPS.
