Yeah. Fortunately, you won’t run into a lot of disorganized groups with people wandering off by themselves in sPvP all the time. I like Scorpion Wiring haste thieves in fights because it interrupts their spam and they can’t dodge.

I consider Haste to be somewhat of a cheesy skills. Yes, it’s effective…..too effective if you ask me, but often I don’t feel like “more DPS” is what my Thief really needs in a utility slot.

I was never a huge fan of Haste actually. But then again I run a 15 Acrobatics Vigor uptime build, so it is pretty counterproductive to drain my endurance bar for 4 seconds.

Plus, Quickness or not, the revealed debuff is still 3 seconds after I Backstab somebody. It throws off my rhythm when my autoattack chain executes twice as fast between Backstabs.

I feel like non-thieves (and some actual thieves) forget that you sacrifice all of your endurance (And ability to dodge) for haste. It isn’t like the other trade offs, take additional damage/can’t be healed for the duration of haste, it has a longer lasting impact. Assuming you counter this by picking up Signet of Agility, thieves are the only class that need to counteract their quickness utility with another utility to maintain survivability.

I don’t know, I don’t see a lot of thieves using haste in sPvP unless they are ‘dueling’ each other.

You seem to get it but a lot of people seem to hastily jump to conclusions because their quickness in terms of reacting to 4 second haste buff that renders a thief unable to dodge for ~10 seconds (5% per second, requires 50% to dodge) is lacking.

Oh lol haste finish ’em.

Well, technically speaking, some warriors run Endure Pain to offset their Frenzy. But I agree with you in that the effects of endurance drain don’t end when the quickness ends. The endurance must then regenerate entirely, and for much of that time the thief is a sitting duck.

Yeah but how many players really get to capitalize on that? With the amount of damage and pressure a Quickeness Thief put out the Thief would either have to some how screw up or the defender use some kind of cooldown in order the counter-pressure the Thief.

It’s the same issue with Frenzy really. When a Warrior uses Frenzy (which he does mostly when he can afford to) you get the hell out of dodge. You don’t stick around to try and counter-pressure him unless you have some kind of cooldown.
