So finally have my Thief to level 80 and notice in WvW Heartseeker will not hit moving targets (it also happens in PvE when mobs are running away from me , but it’s not as noticeable)… and I’m not talking about players who are dodging.. just running away from me or strafing.

Every single time i just get “Miss”, “Miss”… “Miss”.

As an Australian player, I have been told that this might be the delay/lag from playing over here.

I know i have issues with stealth not working as it would normally because of delay/lag.

Interested to see what is causing this issue….

part of it may be lag, but at anywhere approaching full range HS can be unreliable against moving targets.

Every leap attack and nearly every projectile has a maximum range that it can’t go past. If someone is in range when its cast, but is out of the range by the time it finishes, they won’t be hit, as it will not adjust the range beyond what the normal limit is, unlike many games.
So an enemy running away from you effectively shortens the range of any projectile attack or leap according to how fast they’re moving and how fast the projectile or leap moves.

I experience the same. I have great internet connection and minimal ping, so it’s not caused by lag. I think :-)

oh i thought it was just me…. i’ve been having the exact same thing and my internet is just fine…

What are you talking guys ? Dont you read the forums ? Heartseeker is OP! You can actually kill someone by spaming heartseeker from 100% hp to 0! And even after that you have 6 initiative left to cnd , stealth cap and escape !

Heartseeker should be replaced with an ability that isn’t a no skill spammable high damage/mobility gimmick.
