Hello guys i am a bit noob to thief and cant manage to do insta backstab after the 5+2+steal combo i play with some other thiefs and the moment they land they have backstabed me already for me it takes atleast 2seconds to backstab them and in most of cases they see it coming and dodge any advice is welcomed.thanks

if you are just trying to a “insta backstab.”

from stealth, you do: 1+Steal

If you do 5+2+ Steal, you will have maybe 2 seconds to land your Backstab.
Heartseeker will land to your target, and backstab comes right after.

So it’s 5+2+Steal …… +1

This isn’t what he is asking and it’s kind of misleading. He is asking for Instant Backstab.

5+2+1 already leads to a Backstab, At this point + Steal doesn’t have any purpose as far as helping him land a Backstab.

Yea. So the way you land insta back stabs as d/p is actually not 5/2/1…

5/2/2/2 to stack some stealth, wait for the opponent to expose himself. Right after 2 dodges or something… Then hit 1 to precast and then use steal of inf signet to close that gap before bs casts…

When you do it right you will teleport to target and land that backstab at the same time.

As others have said, it’s 5,2,1. If you steal with the hidden thief trait during 5,2,1 you’ll reveal yourself when heartseeker hits because steal will stealth you and heartseeker will reveal you

guys what i am asking is not how to backstab someone….i am asking if there is a way witch after i do the 5+2+steal combo and land heartseeker to land backstab in less than a second

Positioning and practice, that’s all it is really.

Sort of, that depends on your position. But yes, you can go through player models to reach their backs faster. Body blocking works against skills and abilities, not against player models.

Backstab still has a cast time. If you want to hit with HS then you have to wait BS cast time.
