Attached are some pics of me fighting the instigator by driftwood this morning. Hide in Shadows doesn’t seem to be removing any amount of burning on me. First pic is before activating hide in shadows. Second is after. I’m not standing in the fire during the second pic and I’ve done this running completely out of the fight and casting HiS. Still not removing any burning.

Pretty sure I’m not in the fire area. Unless it extends beyond the area ring on the ground…

There is something else going on. I have the same issue with my guardian. I pop my shouts and still have it on me.

Please take the second screenshot directly after the Hide in Shadows skill has been used. It would be helpful to see that the skill is on cooldown and that you are in stealth from it (implying that the rest of the skills activations are working)

I noticed a similar problem against Drake broodmothers in Karka land. I’d get hit by their attack that applies a single long duration stack of poison (and 0 other condition), and if I used signet of agility too quickly (instead of waiting like, 3-4s or so) the poison wouldn’t be removed.

There is something fishy going on with conditions from some mobs that make them uncleansable shortly after you receive them or something.

In the second picture of the first set of pics I posted at the start of the thread, HiS in on cooldown, stealth and regen are activated, I’m not in the fire and still burning.

I’ll try to take more pics later of this. I’m at work now.

yeah the 2nd is of you casting HIS…..better off using a video if u can take 10 mins to download em. bandicam is super easy and im nubby with computers so :P

Ok, so best I can tell is that the condition is not really “burning”, it’s labeled as “burning pitch” (thanks Anet).

This may be why HiS can’t remove it, it’s not “burning”…

That’s it exactly. No one can really douse those flames.

This is also happening to me with Hide in Shadows. However, when I have Shadow’s Embrace (removes condition every 3 secs in stealth) up and go stealth it takes it off just fine.

Known issue.

Basically, the condition the champion applies is not burning, just looks like it. So anything that cleanses “burning” won’t cleanse this condition. Neither will anything that’s setup to clean specific conditions (like Guardian’s pure of voice), since they never include this specific condition.

Anything that cleanses “any” or “all” conditions, on the other hand, will work.
