Champion Shadow
Better Luck Next Time [BLNT]-Sea of Sorrows
Decided to post this video on a pretty easy way to get the High Stakes Gambler achieve on thief without having to go condi spam.
Enjoy!
Thanks for this strategy. Worked pretty well once I got the timing down. Didn’t even have all the Precision and Crit Damage.
Works really well when doing just a few of the gambits too.
Glad to be of service!
how could you dodge when you took every gambit except crowd favourite?

Withdraw let him dodge.
Ah yes, my bad. The crippled withdraw at the end looked like a dodgeroll.
By the way, I ran Signet of Malice instead of Withdraw on my run. Since I’m constantly spamming attacks, the healing balances out the damage being taken (mostly). Though that does leave one without any evades at all in the fight, which can be trouble.

pistol whip is basically a dodge though
Why take Scorpion Wire for start when you could just use infi strike → black powder? Your init regeneration should be enough to compensate.
Either way, Deadeye doesn’t really need to be blinded. Even with full zerker, he’s only really going to kill you if you get hit by killshot or run over a mine. Especially with Thieve’s Guild/Ambush (which you could take instead of Scorp Wire).
Looks good to me though.

I take scorpion wire to pull him to me for the initiation. it can also serve as a backup interrupt when your initiative is too low for anything else. Also if you watched the video, you would notice i am running 5 gambits, which makes it impossible to dodge his killshot and 100% necessary to stay on top of him to interrupt. Infil strike does not have the range to reach him after he teleports, which is why i trait for 1500 range steal. I mean if you can manage to make your infil strike reach 1200 range and keep your init high enough to spam both BP AND pistol whip through some type of wizardry, be my guest.
Also, not explained in the video, the only reason i pull him into BP first and summon TG AFTER that is because, sometimes he has a chance of landing a massive strike on you mid pistol whip, before the evade procs, dropping more than half your health. so to completely avoid this i pull him into the BP and then summon TG to buy some time for init recovery, giving me a safe time gap to start my pistol whip.
