I run around, kill some guards, few players and occasionally manage to solo camps, but I honestly fail to see how am I helping my server. I mean, it’s fun to troll people with stealth and annoy them, but in the end, isn’t, for example, support Guardian more productive? I may not get 12345 player kills but at least I’ helping other people , zergs etc.

Here are a few things you can do:

1) Scouts are extremely useful to commanders. Getting to an area quickly and while staying hidden to provide enemy movements/numbers to a commander can be essential to a successful attack or defense. This can even be done while roaming and you notice an enemy force moving in a certain direction (maybe your Waypointed Garrison?), call it out to create time for the defenses to get ready.

2) Keep a zerg busy with your troll specs! I’ve successfully kept 15-20 people busy chasing me around a field for absurd amounts of time, sometimes 5-10 minutes. This kept those people from doing anything else useful in the meantime.

3) Get to the back lines and pick off the support specs that are keeping their zerg alive.

4) Blast finish those fields in the middle of a fight.

5) If you notice the enemy zerg doesn’t have any retaliation, stealth, quickly get to the middle of their zerg then dagger storm. This can break a zerg in half sometimes and allow your own commander to create a mismatch in numbers between the zergs.

A few more things that can be a lot of fun:

1. Disrupt enemy supply by killing Dolyaks and soloing supply camps on the opposite side of the map from your own zerg, this means that basically all of their supply is gone.
2. Defend your supply camp against enemy roamers, this can be a lot of fun when its you and a few NPC’s against 1-5 people, especially if you can kill them one by one.

A lot of the time the best fun to be had while roaming is o create your own challenges. Defending a supply camp 1vX is one of my favourites, personally. It’s even better when I win and get to corpsejump them. :P

My primary occupation as a thief is to run havoc, scout, and clip my opponents back line. All three are immensely useful and often well received.
