Ok how are thieves doing this? No, I am not standing in a shadow refuge or whatever it is called. In WvW i often start hearing tink tink tink and my health starts dropping. Its not for like 3 or 5 seconds when Im half dead that they actually become visible. When I hit them, they just cast their heal and stealth again.. wth?

If this isnt a bug i might make a theif.. seriously OP.

Hitting anything with an attack breaks stealth, and you get a debuff that makes it so you can’t stealth again for 4-5 seconds. You may just be experiencing the pop in issue that seems to plague populous areas like WvW and Lion’s Arch, where the game won’t draw other players for ages when they first appear in view.

Try reducing all of your graphics settings to low and turn LOD to ultra. this sounds like a pop-in issue where your PC can’t process/draw fast enough.

Ummm no. Look at the date of original post. Culling was the big issue back then. One could c&d, bs and hammer away for 2 cycles of #1 skill before the target could see who was attacking.

But yea, this was caused by culling, which was removed like… at least sixteen months ago ._.

An uninstall generally helps with this problem.
Be warned though, if you re-install the problem will come back.

The problems only get worse if you reinstall later on, so it’s best advised not to reinstall.

He must have gone to the very back of the subforum list. I’m still surprised there isn’t an automatic “lock thread after 2-3 months” function built in, it’d save a LOT of time and corpses. Necromancy ain’t cheap, ya know? You need all those souls of the dead gathered just to revive one thread, and we need all the souls we can get.
