Heh, this must’ve sound really stupid at first

Anywho, my question is this: I am left-handed, playing on a laptop. For walking I use mouse button 1+2 (like in WOW), and ocasionally use my right hand on WASD. Mostly, my right hand is used to press the skill buttons.

But something feels amiss. Because when playing with my SB I simply have to stop and aim for skills like CB. Also, with skill shadow refuge. And it just feels kinda weird, cause I have to stop there, stupid-face, to aim for my skills, while someone is cutting leather straps out of my back!

So…how do you play? WASD and mouse just for aiming? What about when you need to reach to 0 to use your elite skill?

I use;

WS for movement, I rarely use AD. I use QE for strafing, and I have hotkeys embedded on my pro gaming mouse for utilites and buffs. SUP BRO

You can rebind your skills. I’ve got 7 8 9 and 0 rebound to z x c and v.

I am not left handed, but I did rebind several keys. For me, 5-0 have been rebound to Q, E, Z, mouse 4, mouse 5, and center mouse.

I’ve found that a standard 5 button mouse is generally all you need, although some people go a little crazy and buy a razor naga or somesuch with like 30 keys. I think if I was a left-handed gamer I would invest in an expensive mouse like that, since it would be useful on any game I played. YMMV

I’d seriously consider rebinding your skills, particularly Utility, I use Q for Healing skill, E,R,F for Utility Ctrl+C for Elite. I also have ` to my number 5 Weapon skill just feels more natural to me. But definately consider changing your keybinds, find what feels natural and go with that. If the game had more skill slots I would have even gone as far as to use ESDF for movement, I did in WoW but there where just so many skills in that game.

My weapon skills are bound to 123QE
Utility skills are – = 456 (- & = are bound to left and right mouse wheel tilt)
Movement AWSD turning my holding RMB and directionals.

I’m thinking of changing my weapon skills to 1Q2E3 (Q replacing 2 and E replacing 4)

Weapon swap bound to R and auto run to ~

Yeah glad you got it fixed; rebind those keys to IJKL or OKL; and enjoy the extra key real estate. Bind skills/utilities to surrounding keys.
