While you were leveling your theif to 80? I’m just curious cause so far im level 10 with 0 deaths. Which i find very odd cause every other profession ive played ive died at least twice during story modes. Is it just me or will it catch up to me eventually?

what weapons are you using?

I started off with d/d .. when i hit 7 i tried out different weapon combos. and so far ive been enjoying d/d with the shortbow

My first Death was during an early Story Mission when the game suddenly decided to drop a Veteran +4 adds on you at once.

Something about infiltrating a lab with Zoja.

I’m not sure if they’ve fixed it because that was just stupid as hell.

After that, about half of my Deaths were due to Death Blossoming off a cliff.

You have stealth mechanics, you shouldn’t die it’s far to easy to trick scripted enemies, especially in the early levels.

I started Thief as my first toon, could not make it past 15 it was horrible. Parked it and leveled Necro to 80, Warrior to 60, Mesmer and Engineer to varying mid levels and then I went back to Thief. Now Thief is a power house, that very same Thief.

Never had any trouble dying in PvE. Engineer to 80, now levelling a Thief.

Low levels you don’t have much quality gear, but then the mobs aren’t exactly powerful.

PvE in this game is so ignorantly easy you could do it with autoattack and bumble your way to 80. I see plenty of bots doing it nightly.

I have died probably a total of ~6 times in PvE getting to 80.

2-3 story line when figuring out the mechanic.
1-2 throwing myself of cliffs/towers/bridges/other high objects.
1 Being way too drunk to play.

I always take risks, so I’ve died a lot. I’m very survivable though at the moment with lots of ways of escaping situations.

EDIT: Just to add more info, I use Blinding Powder during extreme situations where I need to go. I like to solo strong enemies though, so I do die in PvE.
