Guild Wars 2

I’m new with using a thief sort of, but I got it to level 80 for WvW roaming and PvP.
Right now, I mainly just use d/d and bow.

My stealth options are:
d/d #5
Healing stealth
Shadow Refuge

So for a thief who wants to stay hidden, that doesnt seem like a lot of stealth. I’ve fought other thieves who stay hidden way longer than myself…

Does anyone know a pretty nice setup to give me more stealth options?
(Because I’m not that great with them yet so I rely on stealth to escape a good bit or disengage to regen health.)

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

if u wanna stay hidden us d/p 5 2 2 2 2 combo. but thats annoying and its DPS is really low considering the amount of time ur in stealth. i personally use p/d as it is best for wvw . if u like spvp use s/d and d/p as a backup or s/d and sb. d/d is ok to use but only use it in a group or if you are using a evade spam build which is really strong if built right.

general rule of thumb for utilities is

HIDE in shadows (invis builds) or Withdraw (s/d builds)

utilies 7 8 9:

shadowstep
shadow refuge
blinding powder

elite:
(thieves guild for 1v1 or 1v2) (daggerstorm for zerg play) (basi venom for d/p s/d)

CnD is plenty of stealth as is. Utility are there as backups in case of emergencies.

D/P offers more stealth. Standard deception D/P is less fire power than D/D, but not significantly. It definitely has the most amount of stealth of any build. It’s literally perma-stealth, not just 90-99%% stealth time.

Alternatively you can do signet power D/P, which hits like a truck. It’s takes more finesse though because you will be foregoing shadow step and blinding powder. Definitely the higher risk/higher reward variation.

Starting with D/P deception is the safest bet if you are not spot-on with CnD timing or spacing. Unless you fully commit, there is no way you should ever die with that build.
