I never thought i’d be here posting this BUT, what happened to you ?

Now when I see a thief in WvW ( i just roam exclusively for 1vs x on FA ) I think " I pretty much have this won already" . I play condi-berserker.

I feel your pain and warriors are not in a good place either.

Commiserations my sneaky brothers, lets hope the devs bring you back up to your former glory !

Apparently Thief>War. Not sure how, you guys make it to raid. But thank ye for your condolences, the crew is no longer accepting new members as the ship has nearly sank and most are currently hopping off with life-vests.

Wanna have extra fun? Go make a thief and try to join raids or find pvp team xD

How else did the Dev made Revenant if not by taking from both Warrior and Thief?

No thief/warrior in ESL league so far. Thiefs mostly unwanted in raids.
Sooner or later we will get a buff since thief is currently inferior in every gamemode
to almost all other classes.

Want support? Well ours is garbage.
Want CC? Plenty provided by others.
Want damage? Others have more.
Want condi damage? We no good either.
All this bundled with medium armor and a low healthpool.

Don’t get me wrong well played the thief is strong, the problem is that other classes can provide what we do better and/or with much less effort.

I’m not sure if we have, but I do remember a couple of Berserker Warriors. One got a first jumped on me on my way to a node — almost took him down with me. The other downed me after they got up from that cheese Warrior skill called Vengeance — that Warrior died afterwards.

I don’t remember anyone running with mace/shield, both were using GS.

As a Thieves we are a jack of no trade
We don’t do much damage
We can’t survive the burst cause of low health
Necro can do much condition than Thief does
Stealth mechanic should be only for us but now Dragon hunter has it
Mesmer can rip lots of boons by 3rd aa sword while we can do in every 20 sec
We should br fury master on Crits triat line but Rev got 40% crits chance and can be stack up to 40 sec in few second and free access to haste buff in every 10 sec for 6-7 sec
We have thieves guild but ranger pet can tuant in 15 sec while thieves guild cd 180 sec
We suck at supporting group
We have no real range weapons
Obviously we can’t tank we can do is spam evades
We dont have access to invulnerability, protection but other medium armor has it

On the bright side ! We have 3 dodge bar lol

I thought expansion time was supposed to be fun times and not frustrating, consider quitting the game, type of times

Most of us are bitterly sarcastic and spiteful because, instead of our balance team defending the playstyle and mechanics of the Thief class against the players who can’t tell the difference between a rock and an apple, they sided with them and endorsed their complaints instead, to the point that we can’t even enjoy pve content.

But yeah, don’t feel bad for us now; cause people sure as hell didn’t feel bad about gutting us when we could actually win fights by using a couple of brain cells.

I think its situational. A thief’s SR (ability to mass stealth) used to skip things in dungeons was unmatched back in the day. Warriors are definitely in a better position in PvE. In PvP though, both are crap and arguably warriors are worse. The least a daredevil can do is annoy the kitten outta other players with their dodging capability whereas a berserker will drop like a fly after the first 4 seconds of endure pain.

Daredevil is strong and if a DD lost to you with condi cleanse on evade this DD is not very good.

May be decent if played by competent player. Nonetheless, a vast majority of DD out there seem to have only 2 keys available on their keyboard : either Dodge and Vault, or Dodge and DeathBlossom.

And, if Daredevil is strong, then what are Reaper, DragonHunter, Herald, Scrapper … the list goes on. Maybe supersayian strong or something.

IMHO, the old DA/SA/TR meta build is still the best in a competitive context.

Well for me after the specialisation patch gw2 is like this:

1. Login
2. Play my thief for a bit, get tired from all that dodging and evading
3. Relog to rev/guard/war/mes – semi afk while stuff dies to traps, wells, condis…
