I just started a Thief today, so I’m not expecting to be a pro. But what I don’t understand is the combos and how people can 1v3 in the videos I watch. I understand that they have probably played way longer than me but I gotta be doing something wrong, I died to the Necromancer trainee.

Could anyone give me advice on Dagger & Dagger Combos along with a good 2nd weapon to use? Currently doing D&D and D&P. I’ve only played for about a week, and only rank 6 in PvP, so any advice is welcomed as far as what I should spend Glory on.

Current meta cheese is permastealth D/P|Shortbow. It’s not 1v3, it’s actually 1v1 three times, as the stealth mechanic allows for them to engage the enemy one at a time.

As for stealth, leap + smoke = stealth. Blast + smoke = area stealth.

What do you mean for Stealth leap+ smoke?

Well I messed it up so I see how to do it now. I had Pistol and Dagger. Just had to swap the order, thanks !

All combos in the game are made of two parts; the combo field and the combo finisher. All effects are calculated based on the stats of the person who uses the finisher. The field or finisher identity of a skill is always given in the skill tooltip.

Heartseeker is your leap. I can’t remember what the smoke field is called. Blinding powder? Anyway, pistol 5.

Most of those videos, are against fairly bad (or I guess I should say new) players, who can’t quite grasp stealth counters just yet. Its no body’s fault, there really isn’t a session in the game that teaches you those things, you kind of have to learn them overtime. But like Hayashi said, its not 1v3 its 1v1 3 times. Thief power builds can spike real hard and if they play it smart can pick off weak people first and just dance around against beefy targets.

I play on the American/NA(Don’t know what they are called) Servers. I’m on Sanctum Of Rall . I spectated a few people play Thief today and they were doing the same build I am doing. I switched to Dagger and Pistol and Shortbow. I like it a lot. I tried working on Stealth and 1v1s, which are almost impossible for me. I dodge a lot of skills and try to focus my timing but honestly I get wrecked and never know what to do when.
