I need help with SPVP thief.
Well, most of my damage comes from Shadow Shot and the auto chain. A little Backstab and Heartseeker, but mostly that. I’m no expert though.
Bound itself does a lot of your damage, you have to dodge with the aim to hit people too.
Interupt with headshot and steal will proc pulmonary impact which is a lot of damage.
Shadowshot when your target starts to run away from you has a very good damage coef. Otherwise, try to land as many autos chains you can. Once they go below 25% heartseeker once or twice and then react to what they do for a headshot or more autos/heartseeker.
That’s the damage.
Dagger/pistol is all about sticking to targets with your auto, because it poisons, thus weakentoo, returns endurance and it’s very fast.

When I look at metabattle builds for Thief and Warrior (Blazing Berserker looks so darn bad…I’m speechless), I cry inside. They’re kind of odd looking half the time, or they have very obvious and malleable weaknesses.
That said, I use this for my dagger/pistol build. Its not “better” but it makes more sense to me.
I personally go all mid on Trickery and play without Bandit’s Defense (rfi is my choice), but the people I build share this with take BD over RFI because more stunbreak. My “stunbreak” is the counter stun from steal. General combo is go from “steal can now be used” range or “ID can now be used range” then Black Powder, Impairing Daggers, Heartseeker, Steal, Backstab. Its fairly quick, has a good deal of burst and usually makes people spazz out and cry in a corner when I +1.
I use sword/pistol perma stun build. But the above is my d/p. As for how metabattle uses damage, it tells you in the combo section to basically “take bound over dash, 3rd utility is impairing daggers, go all offense, pray to the gods you kill someone”. -v-
General Thief tip- you have to be more aware if you want to go more damage. If you have bad awareness, go more defensive.
Fun stuff.
