I use short bow and staff. I enjoy glass cannoning. I like traps and evades.

That’s what happens as Thief. However the “best” trait set is DA/TR/DD. I personally do pistol/pistol shortbow all mid traits, and then a low cooldown (highest is 32) utility combo kill set. =) Just use your imagination, because at this point you shouldn’t win 1v1 on your Thief unless the enemy is utter garbage.
