I want to learn PvP, where should I look?
Here’s something you can start of with.

As above poster pointed out, there’s metabattle.com/wiki for builds of all classes, just look for ‘Conquest’. Then there is qqmore.net with PvP tips and a fair bit of information can be found on YouTube as well. For YouTube, I’d recommend checking out ‘Denied Guild Wars’ (it’s not the exact name but I can’t remember it, that should get you there though!) who has vids on builds and PvP in general as well as things like locations for shortbow #5 and stuff like that
You could watch magic tokers stream on twitch as well. Just in general to watch some gameplay and understanding about rotations and stuff. You can ask for tips in chat an he will answer and show you (as you mentioned skill combo).
Ah yes! Twitch is good as well. Other great streamers are Sindrener and Sizer. Magic Toker is the most consequent Thief streamer though (and arguably the best PvP Thief in the game, according to some). Not to mention that he’s also genuinely helpful and seems happy to share advice and help.
Have different tabs open for metabattle, the wiki, your favorite build calculator, and another for looking up vids and for asking google specific questions which will probably give you links to this forum. Now you can reference what someones post is talking about quickly and see what effects from tooltips do and get a good visual of everything together. I like to limit my searches to past month though to slim results down to more current game builds.

If you go to the pvp browser (Big norn with a quaggan next to it) then you can find some rooms named 1v1 dueling or something like that. Those are good for practicing combos, learning matchups, and finding others that’ll likely help you learn the class.

I’m just now getting back into pvp after about 6-7 months, and threw a d/p thief build together. My deadly arts and trickery are the same. I didn’t notice the tankyness that shadow arts apply! I’ll have to try that trait line out tonight.
Also, using a steal ability twice with improvise trait, while on paper didn’t seem too appealing, is AMAZING in fights. (random resets are a nice bonus too)
