Q:
Has anyone else seen thieves shadow step and shadow refuge a lot more often? In WvW I have fought thieves that seem to be able to use shadow refuge and then soon after they come out of it they use it again. I am wondering if because the +2 initiative on stealth got nerfed, are people using Master of Deception to have a higher stealth upkeep?

Also keep it mind it could be this trait
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Improvisation
“Stealing recharges all skills of one type (venoms, signets, traps, tricks, or deceptions). Deal bonus damage when wielding a bundle”
This is the only thing I could think of to allow back to back usage of utility skills on thief.
I didn’t even think of that trait! :P And it could also be a combination of the two, and getting a lower steal recharge.
Thanks for solving the mystery!
Nobody ever uses that trait though since it’s so random. I’d say sundering strikes and 5% dagger damage is usually the preferred trait to go with mug.
I dunno how useful this trait is but, I’d prefer Shadow’s Embrace (IV) coupled with blind on stealth (VI) rather than speeding up CD on Shadow Refuge and Shadow Step. Usually we want to end fights before we have to wait another 60 seconds, or in this case, 48 seconds of shadow refuge, so I don’t think it’s a viable trait to take despite the slight nerf for the intiative trait.
i gotta say …. improv seems to always hit (more often than not) skill types not equiped. even when i already ahve 2 diff types already equiped.
I use IMPROV all the time. With a 21 second steal cycle it kicks in a lot and really throws the opponent for a loop.
So in a Condi build with 20 DA.
What trait is better then Improv? I love the trait, It one of my favorites.
