Hey Anet, the new update on Infiltrator’s arrow and Shadowstep has mayor impacts on wvw roaming thiefs.

As a glass cannon thief, i can no longer Shadowstep to safety on a lot of locations where i previously could. I can also no longer steal from underneath bridges towards enemies that is running over a bridge. Being glass cannon and a thief, you need the element of surprise to overwhelm your enemy. A big part of being a thief is being deceptive. To strike when least expected. When the enemy is not on guard. That no longer is a factor for playing thief. It also took most of the fun out of roaming and plain hanging out in wvw borders.

The new thief even contradicts what the bible say: “If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you” (Rev 3:3). It’s pretty obvious when we’re going to go for someone since you cant shadowstep/steal from above or underneath your victims anymore.

Please consider changing it back to how it was…

I like the change. Some spots are not valid anymore, but there are new spots now. And I don’t waste initiative anymore if a port fails. IMO the best change ever.

you only waste initiative if you didn’t know the right spots. Now the rights spot doesn’t even work anymore.

edit: and I’m not saying to change the new feature, just to make the previous available blinking spots still usable.

After about 3h of playing tonight my 1st impression is that all teleports seem to work more reliable and faster now, also I did not get a single instance of the root on teleport bug tonight (so I really hope that one is fixed). Also the changes seem to have fixed the “teleport into towers and keeps glitches” (atleast the ones I tested do no longer work). Some shadow return glitches seem fixed aswell.

All in all a change for the better in my book.
